First!
Be nice if they do close it out tonight (NJ's record seems to support this), but I'm thinking it's going to 7 games.

That said:
Go Panthers!

Whining?

Almost like Dineen being a big fat cry baby about the ice quality. Did you forget that?

What aboot those Panthers execs trying to blame the rats on the Devils fans instead of their own, eh? Panthers fans probably don't know when to throw them, it's been so long.

The media down there is getting pretty arrogant for a franchise that hasn't made the playoffs since, what, 2000?

That being said, I hope if you guys do win, you have the fortitude to take it all the way. The franchise needs it.

Cheers, and may the best team win!!!

It was a legitimate complaint, and he apologized.

Do you have a conditional meaning for "whining" then?

Nope. Perfect word for what the media heard. Didn't hear any Blackhawks saying Mike Smith got lucky last night. And we won't, because it's not the correct or classy thing to do.

Yes, it has to be from the mouth of a Devil to be considered whining, otherwise it's an astute observation that requires further investigation.

Duh.

And the Panthers just tipped their cap to Brodeur after Game 4, because that is the proper thing to do.

You didn't hear any Blackhawks complain because Mike Smith completely own them the entire series.

Theodore was not exceptional. The Devils lost because they didn't play well. Is that not getting lucky?

Was it classy when Gudbransson female doged about Devils fans on twitter?

Own up to what you said.

Wow, I'm surprised Zach would say that. Probably a slip-up due to frustration with how the series has played out.

No way was Theo lucky to get that shutout. The Devils hardly tested him. Theo was lucky the Devils played a crappy game, maybe

Before I say anything, do you have the link to the article that Parise and Broduer supposedly said this. I know media and people like to twist stories, so Parise could've said he was lucky on a couple saves, and you make it out to be a big deal, and I could've sworn that Brodeur said the Devils were the better team in one of the periods or even-strength, or something along those lines.

By the way, http://blogs.northjersey....er_menace_to_devils_fans/

Yormark is an idiot, he would sell anything for a dollar. Panthers official urinal cakes? Sure no problem, you want that in red or white? Reselling rats? Stupid. But he caters to bandwagon fans who will pay 5 dollars for them. Bunch of enablers really.

Panther fans are gonna have a fun time in Newark tonight

I can't believe the president of an NHL team is acting like such an idiot on Twitter. Absurd hahah

In both shutout games the goalies got a little help but it doesn't lessen the work they did. The bottom line is did it stay out of the net. Luck is part of the game. Parise said he was lucky on a couple saves, one particular that went five hole that his back leg pushed out wide. I have no issue with a statement of fact that goalies get good breaks though it does seem less than professional when the tone is set by the Panthers after game 4 "i.e. Brodeur played great and we just couldn't find a way to get one by him" to the Devils after game 5 "i.e. We had Theo beat but he got real lucky on saves he didn't see..."

As for officiating comments, I thought we got past those after game 2 (Mathias game 1 and Clarkson game 2), no?

He would have his salespeople reclaim season tickets and sell them again to opposing fans. Yormark needs to feed his ego apparently. As long as they keep him away from hockey decisions then we won't have to drop him off in the everglades with raw meat tied to his body.

I am not bringing up officiating. I am just saying. Parise said he got lucky on a couple saves, it was probably the truth. He probably asked if he thought the Devils did enough to score. It wasn't like he said he got lucky the entire game, he said he got lucky on a couple saves. Your blogger completely skewed that and wrote it to where we would think Parise said he was lucky on all or most of his saves.

EDIT: I would never use officiating as an excuse, but there has been some horrid and questionable calls, in game five, there was a couple of like the "come on now, really" calls that they usually let go but not start calling. That's where some fans might get frustrated.
